It's amazing to me how much there is to take pictures of everywhere around you. These were all taken within a block or two of my house. I tried going for a vintage theme in all of them.
Here are just a few new photos that I took for my Image capture class. I think we were trying to deal with the shutter speed and iso and all that junk.
I just recently found these covers I designed a few quarters ago for my typography class. We needed to create three different covers for the given criteria. We had a jazz, hip hop, and classical cover that needed to be different while still fluid. Basically we needed to design a series that looked like the same designer made them all.
Here is the final design that I came up with for the book "My Jim" by Nancy Rawles. I wanted to use flat imagery while still creating the illusion of depth through the shadows. It's simple yet I have found that it draws people in to take a closer look, which is essentially the basic idea when a book is on a shelf at the book store.
